Celebrating 100 Years of Wood Gormley Elementary
Since 1927, Wood Gormley has been a place of learning, community, and generations of Santa Fe families.

Wood Gormley Elementary first welcomed students in February 1927, originally as Gormley School.
Built during a period of growth in Santa Fe, the school served generations of families and later became Wood Gormley in 1937, honoring educator James A. Wood.
The 2026–2027 school year marks 100 years of learning, stories, and community — and we’re inviting alumni, families, and neighbors to help celebrate.
